http://zennie2005.blogspot.com/2008/0... - On Friday, Governor Sarah Palin was the selection of Senator John McCain to be his running mate as the presumptive Republican Vice Presidential Nominee. Already we have problems.1) TrooperGate, where Gov Palin is accused of using her position to fire a state trouper, who's still on the job as of this writing. 2) The news that Palin was part of a group that wanted Alaska to leave the Union. 3) Palin was fundraising director for Senator Ted Stevens' 527 committee.4) Palin was almost recalled as Mayor of Wasalia, Alaska.5) She says the Iraq War, costing over 80,000 iraqi lives and several thousand American lives is a war for oil -- she's right, but Republican, so she should not say that.6) She took earmarks totalling over $197 million, while saying she did not. Why Palin? Senator McCain could have picked from five Republican female senators, but failed to do so. Why? More questions than answers. It's my prediction that Palin will be forced to resign as this steady stream of negative information continues to come in.

RussiaToday
Barack Obama has fired a stern warning to Russia as he accepted the Democratic Presidential nomination and officially launched his campaign for the White House.
RussiaToday
One of Barack Obama's key messages during the presidential campaign is the need for change. And many Americans share the judgment. However, it seems this need is not reflected in the U.S. presidential hopeful's approach to Russia.

From the Cafferty File:All we have heard from John McCain for months is, "Barack Obama is too young. Barack Obama is too inexperienced to be commander-in-chief. Who do you want answering the phone in the White House at three a.m.? Blah, blah, blah."So what does McCain do? He picks someone to be his running mate who is even younger than Barack Obama and has less experience.Sara Palin is 44 -- Obama is 47. Sara Palin is in her first term as governor of Alaska, a state that has 13 people and some caribou. Obama is a member of the United States Senate from Illinois. It's not a big deal, except for this: If McCain wins, he will be the oldest person ever inaugurated for a first term at 72. He has a history of health problems that include bouts of melanoma, a potentially deadly form of skin cancer. It is reasonable to consider that McCain's running mate could be called upon to be our president.Meanwhile, some may see this as a move for McCain to attract disaffected women who voted for Hillary Clinton and aren't yet behind Obama. But that might not work for a few reasons: Palin, like McCain, is pro-life. Also, she might be a woman, but she's no Hillary Clinton -- when it comes to her experience or her ideology. At some point, voters will have to ask themselves who they would want running the country if it ever became necessary: Joe Biden or Sarah Palin. Here's my question to you: Does John McCain undercut his own message by naming someone even younger and more inexperienced than Barack Obama to be his running mate?

Barby dollOMG why are we talking about politics!!!! Sarah Palin is most definitely a VPILF, and Barack Obama was like a rockstar at the DNC.Stalk Me:http://myspace.com/youtubephilhttp://twitter.com/phillyd"No Change" discusses how John McCain's choice for Vice President will not change the fact that he still desires to just offer four more years of the same failed Bush policies. Just over two years ago she was a small-town mayor, but now Sarah Palin, Alaska's 44-year-old governor and mother of five, is the Republican's first female vice-presidential candidate. She was presented to the party faithful at a rally in Dayton, Ohio during the Republican's convention.John McCain said Palin was exactly what he needed to complete the party's ticket. But his choice, has raised a few eyebrows because of her relative inexperience.

With voting stations officially closed, exit polls at 10 p.m. suggested that Kadima would win the general elections on Tuesday. However, due to the dramatic rise in support of the Likud and Israel Beiteinu, it seemed that Likud chairman Binyamin Netanyahu would have a better chance than Kadima head Tzipi Livni of forming the next coalition. The Channel 1 poll showed Kadima winning 30 mandates, and Likud trailing closely behind with 28 seat. Israel Beiteinu was predicted to earn 14 mandates, and Labor was slated to get 13 seats. The Channel 2 poll narrowed the gap between first and second place, showing Kadima with 29 mandates, and Likud with 27 seats. Israel Beiteinu was predicted to earn 15 mandates, and 13 seats. Channel 10 followed the same pattern, predicting Kadima with 30 mandates, Kadima with 28 seats, Israel Beiteinu with 15 mandates, and Labor with 13 seats. Once the final results of the election are known, President Shimon Peres will begin a round of consultations with party leaders, to hear who they are recommending for prime minister. In the past, the task of forming a coalition has been given to the head of the largest party. But election legislation gives Peres wide leeway, and he can grant the first opportunity to the party leader who he judges has the best chance in forming a government, even if that party did not earn the most mandates in the election.http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellit...
